Field Trip - $50.00
Late Cretaceous Depositional Systems and Paleontology of the southern Sevier Foreland Basin, south central Utah. The timing of major depositional events, source areas, biostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy, vertebrate paleontology and general paleobiology for this portion of the basin, which contains one of the most complete Late Cretaceous terrestrial vertebrate faunal successions in the world, will be reviewed.
Vans will depart promptly from the main entrance of the Dixie Center at 7:00 am and return at 9:00 pm. A box lunch will be included in the fee. Dinner is not included but the trip will stop at Ruby’s Inn to eat.
